What is authoritative now

Roster authority

All 12 rosters are loaded from the supplied ESPN roster snapshot. The model no longer assumes that Romeo Doubs is the drop merely because he is a WR; it ranks every Longboys bench player's retention cost on one common board scale.

Value authority

Rostered-player values currently use the supplied August 17 player board, whose principal baseline was ESPN/Field Yates PPR rankings. Players absent from that top-140 board are deliberately treated as 140+ rather than assigned invented precision.

Streaming positions

D/ST and kicker are now compared only against Packers D/ST and Chris Boswell respectively. They no longer use the position-player draft-board delta.

Current waiver data

Available-player Week 1 projections, season projections, ownership and waiver status come from the supplied post-draft ESPN player spreadsheet.

Freshness architecture

v0.4 adds authenticated ESPN ingestion with timestamped raw snapshots, validation, atomic promotion and last-known-good fallback. Credentials are stored only in the cPanel Python application's environment variables.

Next upgrade

Replace the August 17 board proxy with refreshed player projections/rankings, add current waiver priority, injury/news freshness, and compute explicit trade-pair candidates from opponent positional surplus.
